About The Event
Welcome to the annual St Kilda Baseball clubs Home Run Derby - RAKE BY THE LAKE - where the winner will take home a cool $1000 cash first prize. 16 of the best baseballers in the country will fight it out to be crowned the champion and take home the belt!!
Kids are welcome to come and shag fly balls throughout the day and test their baseball skills with other events throughout the day.
We will have food, drinks, music and great summer weather to watch some home runs fly!! So, with the best view from behind home plate in the country - come down, bring your friends &family and cheer on the contestants as they hit bombs and compete for $1000 cash!

Rake by the Lake is open to anyone who, like Big Al, can hit dingers. The winner will take home a cool $1000 cash first prize and the coveted Rake by the Lake championship belt!

Every hitter will get 3 mins in the qualifying round to hit as many bombs as possible. The top 8 qualifiers will then face off in head-to-head matchups to determine the winner

St Kilda Baseball Club is located at Tom O'Halloran Field - Hockey Drive, Albert Park, approximately 3km from the CBD of Melbourne. The field is easily accessible by public transport with St Kilda Rd trams only a 5 minute walk away, Windsor railway station is 10 minutes away and the #96 St Kilda Beach tram from Bourke/Spencer Sts places you just 2-3 minutes away (get off at the Fraser St stop). Paid car Parking is available in close proximity to the field, but be careful of those foul balls and parking inspectors!
